SHARE Humanitarian of the Month: January 2013
Ms. Julia Valerino
Ms. Valerino exemplifies volunteerism as she is assisting with the development of the Variety Early Learning Center, Lorenzi Park Campus and numerous other projects that SHARE is dedicated to in the Southern Nevada community. Her efforts to date have resulted in mobilizing countless volunteers, designs services donated from Leo A. Daly Architects, Planners, donations of office furniture, computers and other items for the new Variety school and a relentless commitment to our community with helping others in need.
A Las Vegas native, Julia A. Valerino, graduated from University of Nevada Las Vegas with an Interior Architectural Design degree. A true aesthete, textures, color, art, and design have always been natural talents since childhood. Previous posts exposed Ms. Valerino the world of Hospitality industry, within which she thrived as an Assistant Guest Services Manager; in that capacity, her dedication and hard work resulted in the honor of Employee of the Month Award. Ms. Valerino currently holds a position as Designer at Leo A Daly, an international Architectural & Engineering firm, where she leads commercial and Hospitality design efforts. In addition with design, Ms. Valerino also participates in various local community service organizations, including Architecture for Humanity, for which she is a founding member. Various pro bono design projects included volunteering for organizations such as Make A Wish Foundation, Opportunity Village, and the St. Jude Foundation. Ms. Valerino is working towards obtaining her Interior Designer license through the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications. Currently, Ms. Valerino is establishing a business enterprise in a partnership with a friend to introduce a top end construction material product to North America.
