Ms. Glass exemplifies her dedication to the education of children. Her efforts to date have resulted in an unremitting commitment to our community helping children and families in search of quality education.
Ms. Toyya Glass is the Executive Director for Variety Early Learning Center, Las Vegas, Nevada . Her educational background includes a Master Teacher certificate, an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development with an emphasis in early childhood. She has several years of successful experience in operating a Preschool; I have observed, taught and managed a variety of settings. Including teaching ages infant to six years with a preschool Company in California, ages 8-18 at an Mental Institution for adolescence with minimal to sever behavioral and psychotic disabilities, then I later became a Director for a well-known Preschool in 2001. Her personal Philosophy of education values a strong classroom community, respect for students and faculty, flexibility in the classroom, and a lighthearted approach to learning. Although preschool is sometimes thought of as a readiness program for Kindergarten, it is really a total part of the school program. Within the broad and flexible framework of a preschool, her major goal is to help every child develop a good self-concept, a feeling of self-worth, and a feeling that they are a valuable person and they have a contribution to make to society.
